Ideation through Systematic Inventive Thinking

The second part of our two-pronged method of analyzing information (see first part Opportunity Analysis) is forming strategic recommendations through Systematic Inventive Thinking.

We take all of the interview data, and the results of the Opportunity Analysis and use it to formulate compelling concepts, in conjunction with client objectives. You might think you have already exhausted the possibilities for your product or service, but we're willing to bet that you will be amazed at what comes out of this exercise. We use a proven, systematic method to help you create innovative ideas that are commercially viable and desirable.

Opportunity Analysis breaks a product, service, or existing concept into its discrete components, features, and functions. It also reveals current customer satisfaction with each of these attributes, as well as a set of metrics to measure and evaluate opportunities. We use the Systematic Inventive Thinking Patterns to Subtract, Multiply, Divide, Unify, or develop an Attribute Dependency change, as per the desired outcome articulated during the research phase of a project.

When working with a set of pre-fabricated patterns, we are, ironically, much better brainstormers than when we have no limits on our thinking. When combined with an intimate understanding of what customers value, and what clients want, we have a powerful procedure for triggering creativity.

We don't promise that every project framed by Systematic Inventive Thinking will necessarily yield earth shattering results. In our experience, we've found that it doesn't have to either. Systematic Inventive Thinking is an outlook, philosophy, approach, and expectation for everything we do.
